Music Video Sessions Part 2 (Christmas Edition)

Here’s my Christmas Confession. I dreamt and woke up with this Nysnyc ear worm on christmas Eve. Think it brings back the middle school nostalgia where kitschy mall culture was all the rage especially during Christmas. Can’t call it endearing but what else is more endearingly enduring than the good old days of coming of age In late 90’s suburban America? The song has an upbeat, bubbly, almost manic energy which feels like a parody of itself and its managed to bust me out of my usual morning slump. An holy admixture that is definitely dank and in sync ;).

I think I can unofficially anoint this as my favorite Christmas song. First solo christmas alone and I think Im loving it. I hear that it grates on many Texans if you just wish happy holidays without the merry Christmas part so Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to you all!

On an aside I would like to also wish a merry bitmas to all the bitcoin hodlers. Plenty reason to feel merry upon waking up to a new all time high .

Also, worth mentioning that this is what i viewed to get my christmas neurons firing this morning as this treat arrived from my YouTube subscription list.

Next on the list is Macklemore’s vipassana song. Discovered this upon completing a 10 day vippassana retreat as a server back at the very start of the year and I just totally loved it. Ive done a 10 day silent retreat once and though I never fully embraced it, it has percolated over the years and enabled me to actually appreciate and enjoy meditation. Hoping to deepen and hone in on my practice in the coming year/s and ever So grateful for having this orientation as a solid foundation to calibrate my compass.

Lastly, wanted to share a couple videos by Ayla Nereo who I discovered at the 2018 NorCal Permaculture Convergence. Ever since then I have been hooked and very inspired by her deliverings. Always loved the ethereal enya-esque vibe growing up and I feel like she brings a certain element of that to her music. Also find her to be one of the few artists who never fails to deliver on any of her songs as opposed to being a one hit wonder.
